Dubai, UAE: The General Command of Dubai Police welcomed Colonel Goran Colic, Head of the Internal Control Sector at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, and his accompanying delegation.
The Serbian delegation was received by Colonel Dr Khalid Al Sheikh, Director of the Department of Anti-Economic Crimes; Colonel Ali Al Loghani, Director of the Department of Anti-Criminal Training and Development; and several other officers.
Colonel Al Sheikh warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing that the Dubai Police General Command welcomes such visits that familiarise local and international law enforcement agencies with the best practices, experiences, and systems employed by Dubai Police in bolstering security and safety within the community.
The visiting delegation was taken on a tour to the Command and Control Centre, where Colonel Al Sheikh introduced them to the centre’s operational system, latest services, and initiatives enhancing security and safety in the Emirate.
The tour also showcased the jurisdiction classification smart system, which ensures rapid response to reports and provision of high-level professional security services, alongside the artificial intelligence systems used to analyse data and automatically send results to security patrols.
The Serbian delegation was further briefed on the workings of the Anti-Money Laundering Department in the Criminal Investigations Department. They learned about the key applied practices, including the Financial Analysis Centre, the combating of virtual currency crimes, and the department’s interaction with various related entities.
The visiting team also learned about Dubai Police’s strategy in training and development, as well as the capabilities, specialities, programmes, and courses offered by the General Department of Training for various specialities within Dubai Police.
Towards the end of the visit, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields in honour of the successful visit.
