Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai celebrated UAE Flag Day with a grand ceremony at its headquarters in Al Jafiliya, reflecting the spirit of unity, pride, and loyalty that defines the nation.
The celebration, led by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, brought together assistant directors, officers, and staff members who joined in hoisting the UAE flag amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and national pride.
The courtyard of the headquarters resonated with the national anthem as employees gathered in solidarity, expressing their shared sense of belonging and commitment to the UAE. The event highlighted the flag as a symbol of peace, coexistence, and the enduring unity among citizens and residents alike.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Al Marri said that UAE Flag Day is a moment to renew loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership.
“This day renews our pledge to continue raising the name of the UAE high across all sectors and to contribute to its journey of excellence,” he said.
He described the day as a reflection of the spirit of the Union, a legacy built by the nation’s founding fathers and carried forward by visionary leadership that continues to inspire progress and cohesion.
Lt Gen Al Marri added that the occasion embodies renewed meanings of patriotism, commitment, and collective pride. He urged all team members to work together in the spirit of collaboration and dedication, saying “We will always hold our flag high with pride and respect.”

He reiterated GDRFA Dubai’s unwavering commitment to serving the people and upholding the nation’s reputation through excellence, innovation, and leadership across all services.
