Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), the UAE’s leading media organisation, has announced that all ADtv content will move to a new dedicated section on STARZPLAY starting November 4, 2025, following a strategic partnership between the two companies.
The collaboration will see the launch of the Abu Dhabi Media Network (ADMN) section within the STARZPLAY app, available across major platforms including iOS, Android, smart TVs, and the web. The new section will offer ADM’s wide range of programmes, series, and films through a free, high-quality streaming experience.
As part of the transition, the existing ADtv app will cease operations on November 30, 2025, with users encouraged to access ADM content via STARZPLAY instead.
Strategic step in digital broadcasting
The agreement marks what both parties describe as a transformative milestone in the region’s digital broadcasting landscape, aimed at enhancing accessibility and audience reach through advanced technology.
Rashed Al Qubaisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Media, said the partnership reflects ADM’s vision to lead the region’s media transformation. “This partnership embodies our ambitious strategy to keep pace with the digital transformation of the media sector and our continuous investment in advanced digital platforms,” Al Qubaisi said. “It reaffirms our commitment to innovation and delivering a superior viewing experience that meets audience aspirations.”
Enhanced viewing experience
Under the new arrangement, viewers will enjoy upgraded features such as high-quality streaming, improved performance across devices, personalised user profiles, and advanced parental controls. STARZPLAY’s recommendation system will also provide content suggestions based on individual preferences.
The STARZPLAY platform will host live streaming of Abu Dhabi Media’s TV channels, including Abu Dhabi TV, Al Emarat TV, Abu Dhabi Sports, Baynouna, Yas, Majid, and National Geographic Abu Dhabi, in addition to ADM’s radio network.

Expanding regional media reach
Maaz Sheikh, CEO and Co-Founder of STARZPLAY, said the partnership underscores both organisations’ commitment to delivering integrated, user-focused digital experiences. “We are delighted to commence this partnership with Abu Dhabi Media, which enables us to deliver an advanced and integrated viewing experience to a wider audience,” Sheikh said. “This collaboration enhances viewing options, strengthens our digital presence, and reinforces our competitiveness in the regional media sector.”
Milestone for Arab media distribution
Industry observers view the move as a milestone in the evolution of Arab media distribution, combining ADM’s extensive content library with STARZPLAY’s robust technological infrastructure. The partnership also opens the door for future collaborations in joint productions and exclusive programming.
With the migration of ADtv content to STARZPLAY, Abu Dhabi Media aims to further cement its position as a forward-looking, innovative media organisation, while STARZPLAY continues to build on its reputation as one of the region’s leading digital entertainment platforms.
