Dubai, UAE – IKEA UAE, operated by Al-Futtaim, has kicked off the holiday season with a lineup of festive décor ranges, family-focused collections and practical kitchen solutions aimed at helping residents host, play and create meaningful moments at home. The retailer has also transformed its IKEA Café at Festival Plaza, Jebel Ali, into a festive hub supported by hands-on cooking and design workshops.

Aligned with its brand intent, “Here to be part of your story,” IKEA plans to engage customers throughout the year with immersive in-store experiences and community events tied to key occasions including Ramadan, UAE National Day and Mother’s Day. The approach is designed to empower households to plan, host and live more sustainably.

This year’s festive ranges — VINTERFINT, STRÅLA and VINTERSAGA — bring warm lighting, seasonal décor, tableware and textiles to stores across the UAE. IKEA says the collections offer styles ranging from understated to bold, with increased affordability through its ongoing Price Lowered initiative on select festive décor, family items and kitchen essentials.

Adding a playful twist to the season, IKEA has spotlighted its collaboration with Swedish designer Gustaf Westman, whose whimsical, character-driven design pieces add warmth while remaining functional for everyday use.

The brand’s Globally Local campaign is also rolling out across the region. Launched first in Oman, the campaign features artist-led interpretations that reimagine IKEA designs through local cultural stories.

Carla Klumpenaar, General Manager for Marketing, Communications and Interior Design at IKEA UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman, said the festive period is an opportunity to support the moments that unfold at home. “This season’s festive ranges and family collections are designed to set a welcoming tone and make cooking and hosting easier with well-planned kitchen solutions,” she said.

Families can look forward to SANDLÖPARE, a new play-led collection created with Nordens Ark, the Swedish wildlife conservatory. The range aims to spark curiosity about endangered animals through toys, storytelling tools and educational materials, complementing popular IKEA family favourites such as DJUNGELSKOG and JÄTTELIK.

IKEA is also preparing for Lunar New Year with FÖSSTA, a collection of festive red lanterns, tableware and textiles designed to make gatherings effortless.

With the kitchen at the centre of festive celebrations, IKEA is promoting solutions that cater to different budgets and home sizes. The METOD system with MAXIMERA drawers offers modular storage and soft-close functionality, while the KNOXHULT series provides pre-configured, ready-to-assemble kitchens for compact living.

James McGowan, GM Commercial Areas for IKEA in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman, said the goal is to streamline every step of the cooking and eating journey. “Guided by democratic design, the range balances quality, function and price, while clearer services — including Online Service Booking and defined warranties — give customers confidence from planning to installation,” he said.

Affordability remains a key focus, with targeted price reductions across kitchen and dining essentials. Online Service Booking for kitchen projects is now live in the UAE, allowing customers to upload measurements, schedule planning sessions and track progress digitally. The service will soon expand to Qatar, Oman and Egypt.

In stores, the season is being marked with chef-led cooking demonstrations, design workshops and multicuisine stations featuring Swedish, Middle Eastern, Asian, Mediterranean and plant-based dishes. Visitors can also take home complimentary giveaways.

IKEA’s festive collections and kitchen solutions are now available across UAE stores and at IKEA.ae. For details, customers may call 800 IKEA (800 4532).
