Dubai, UAE – Khaled AlShehhi, Executive Director of Marketing and Communication at the UAE Government Media Office, has been honoured with the Digital Leadership Award at the MENA Digital Awards, held alongside the Digital Media Forum in Dubai.
The award recognises AlShehhi’s outstanding contributions to government communication and the digital media sector, particularly his role in adopting innovative communication models that blend creativity with meaningful societal impact. His work has played a key role in presenting a progressive image of the UAE that reflects its developmental vision, humanitarian values and global leadership in modern government communication.
During the ceremony, a special video was screened highlighting major milestones in AlShehhi’s professional journey, showcasing his influential leadership, his impact on advancing the regional digital media ecosystem and his efforts in setting new creative benchmarks within the government communication sector.
The award was presented by Najla Semaan Mazboudi, Founder and Managing Director of SpotOn Media Services, the MENA Digital Awards and the Digital Media Forum, alongside Ahmad Itani, Founder and CEO of Cicero & Bernay Communication Consultancy, in recognition of AlShehhi’s leadership and lasting influence on the region’s digital landscape.
AlShehhi, who has received numerous local and international accolades, is widely regarded as one of the Middle East’s most influential figures in media and communications. In a landmark achievement, he was selected by the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity as the first-ever representative from the global government sector to serve on its jury, reflecting the UAE’s advanced international standing in media and government communication.
