Dubai, UAE – Huawei has officially unveiled the HUAWEI FreeClip 2, the latest addition to its open-ear audio lineup, introducing a lighter design, improved comfort and enhanced sound performance powered by artificial intelligence.

Launched on December 11, the FreeClip 2 builds on the brand’s distinctive C-bridge architecture, blending fashion-forward aesthetics with practical ergonomics. Huawei says the new model has been redesigned to offer a more secure and near weightless fit, allowing users to wear the earbuds comfortably throughout the day.

Each earbud weighs just 5.1 grams and is crafted using a combination of skin-friendly liquid silicone and a high-performance shape-memory alloy. According to Huawei, micrometer-level tuning based on more than 10,000 global ear samples has resulted in a smaller and lighter “Comfort Bean” component, helping the earbuds stay firmly in place without discomfort.

Fashion meets function

Positioned as both a tech accessory and a style statement, the FreeClip 2 is available in Blue, White and Black. The Blue and White variants feature a denim-inspired textured finish designed to evoke a sense of freedom and casual elegance.

Despite its compact size, Huawei says the improved Acoustics Ball delivers more powerful sound output, balancing aesthetics with performance.

Smarter open-ear listening

At the core of the FreeClip 2 is an NPU AI processor offering ten times the computing power of the previous generation. This enables adaptive features such as real-time environmental awareness, automatic volume adjustment and voice enhancement.

The earbuds are equipped with a dual-diaphragm driver, which Huawei claims delivers 100 per cent stronger volume and bass, while maintaining clarity across vocals, treble and low frequencies.

For calls, the FreeClip 2 uses a three-microphone noise-cancellation system combined with multi-channel deep neural network (DNN) algorithms. This setup filters background noise and enhances voice clarity, even in busy outdoor environments. A reverse sound-wave system also helps minimise sound leakage, ensuring greater privacy during calls.

Built for everyday use

Designed with convenience in mind, the earbuds support self-adaptive left-right audio, allowing users to wear either earbud in either ear. The FreeClip 2 is rated IP57, offering resistance against dust, sweat and water splashes.

Battery life has also been extended, with up to 9 hours of playback on a single charge and 38 hours with the charging case, making the device suitable for long commutes, workdays and travel.

Availability in the UAE

The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 is now available for pre-order in the UAE through Huawei’s official online platform and Huawei Experience Stores. The earbuds are priced at Dh649, and include one year of Loss Care, valued at Dh79.

With its blend of refined design, adaptive audio technology and everyday durability, Huawei aims to strengthen its presence in the growing open-ear wearable audio market.
