News DeskDubai, UAE – Huawei has announced the launch of a new White edition of its flagship HUAWEI Mate XT ULTIMATE DESIGN, building on the unprecedented success of the world’s first commercially available trifold smartphone.
The new colour variant features an elegant white vegan leather finish complemented by signature gold accents, giving the device a more refined and commanding aesthetic. Pre-orders for the White edition, available with 1TB storage, will begin on December 29 via Huawei’s official website, priced at Dh9,999, reduced from the original Dh12,999. The offer also includes a free foldable keyboard worth Dh499.
Designed to blend luxury with cutting-edge innovation, the Mate XT White edition features a premium vegan leather back panel with a soft-touch finish. It is accented by Huawei’s iconic Eonic Curves camera ring, highlighted by a distinctive folded marble vein pattern. According to Huawei, the intricate texture is created using 80 layers of metallic sheets, meticulously forged and polished to produce a unique, high-end finish.
When fully unfolded, the Mate XT boasts a massive 10.2-inch display — the largest smartphone screen currently available. Thanks to its advanced hinge design that allows both inward and outward folding, the device supports single-screen, dual-screen and triple-screen modes. Fully folded, it offers a 6.4-inch display similar to a conventional smartphone, while unfolding once reveals a 7.9-inch dual-screen experience.
At the core of the device is Huawei’s Advanced Precision Hinge System, built with high-strength steel to ensure durability despite the complex folding mechanism. The ultra-slim smartphone houses a 5,600mAh battery and supports 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge as well as 50W wireless fast charging.
On the imaging front, the Mate XT is equipped with a versatile camera system that includes a 10-step adjustable physical aperture, enabling greater control over light intake and depth of field. The setup also features ultra-wide-angle photography and a periscope camera with 5.5x optical zoom, allowing users to capture detailed shots from both near and far.
