Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable economic development with a strong presence at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026, announcing the launch of its flagship Sustainability Label Programme aimed at elevating sustainability standards across the private sector.

Running from January 11 to 15, ADSW brings together global leaders, innovators and policymakers to advance practical solutions for sustainability challenges. The Chamber’s participation reflects its institutional role in building a resilient, competitive and future-ready business ecosystem in the Emirate, aligned with the UAE’s national sustainability and economic diversification agenda.

The newly launched Sustainability Label Programme provides a comprehensive framework to guide companies in embedding sustainable practices into their operations. It combines sustainability assessments, capacity-building, advisory support and institutional classification, enabling participating firms—particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—to improve efficiency, strengthen risk management and expand access to finance and international markets. Companies joining the inaugural cycle will be formally recognised during ADSW, gaining international visibility for their sustainability achievements.

As part of the week’s activities, the Chamber is also participating in the World Future Energy Summit exhibition through a dedicated pavilion in Hall 4, Stand A-190. The pavilion showcases Chamber initiatives supporting the green transition and hosts three member companies operating in the sustainability sector, highlighting innovative clean energy technologies and fostering new strategic partnerships.

Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said sustainability has become “a foundational pillar for building a competitive economy capable of responding to future transformations,” noting that the Chamber’s initiatives aim to enhance institutional readiness and support long-term growth.

Director General Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi added that ADSW serves as a strategic platform to accelerate adoption of resilient business practices, strengthen partnerships and empower private sector companies.

Through its programmes and active engagement at ADSW 2026, the Abu Dhabi Chamber continues to position the private sector as a driving force behind balanced and sustainable economic growth in the Emirate.
