New Delhi, India – Select Cars, the Official Ferrari Importer in New Delhi, hosted an exclusive private preview of the Ferrari 296 Speciale A for a select group of Ferrari owners in India, marking a major highlight during the prestigious Ferrari Tour of Rajasthan.
The unveiling offered invited Ferraristi an early look at Ferrari’s latest mid-rear-engined plug-in hybrid spider, a model that joins an ultra-exclusive lineage of special open-top performance cars. The 296 Speciale A stands alongside icons such as the Scuderia Spider 16M, 458 Speciale A, and 488 Pista Spider, and is positioned to set a new benchmark in top-down driving performance — not just within Ferrari’s range, but across the segment.
Building on the acclaimed dynamics of the 296 platform, the 296 Speciale A integrates a retractable hardtop (RHT) with the coupé’s renowned agility, responsiveness, and stability. Ferrari says the model amplifies the already formidable performance of the 296 GTS while introducing enhanced predictability and intuitive handling, delivering a uniquely engaging open-air driving experience.
Designed for Ferraristi seeking the ultimate connection between driver and machine, the 296 Speciale A represents the pinnacle of this model family. It is tailored for owners who prioritise extraordinary performance combined with the emotional thrill of open-top motoring.
The preview formed part of Select Cars’ 10-year anniversary celebrations, staged through the Ferrari Tour of Rajasthan. The five-day drive brought together a curated group of Prancing Horse owners for an exclusive journey across Rajasthan’s royal landscapes, blending high-performance motoring with the region’s rich heritage.
Adding further excitement to the tour, participants also had the opportunity to test drive the Ferrari 12Cilindri and the 296 GTB during the route, making the event both a celebration of Ferrari’s legacy and a showcase of its cutting-edge engineering.
Following the private preview, the Ferrari 296 Speciale A is expected to be officially launched in India in the near future.
