Aayal QureshiDubai, UAE – Dubai is set to host a weekend of world-class cycling as L’Étape Dubai by Tour de France, presented by Škoda, returns on January 24–25, 2026, transforming Expo Village Park into a hub of sporting action and community celebration.
The event brings the spirit of the iconic Tour de France to the UAE, offering a range of experiences for professional cyclists, amateurs, families and fans alike. This year’s edition is highlighted by the appearance of two Tour de France legends — multiple-time stage winner Peter Sagan and former classics specialist Zdeněk Štybar — who will engage with participants throughout the weekend.
Saturday’s programme focuses on community and family participation with Škoda Family Day. Activities include the Škoda Kids Race, a safe and fun introduction to competitive cycling for children, and a relaxed 20-kilometre Škoda Family Ride through the park. Young riders can also take part in an obstacle challenge designed to build cycling skills, while fans will have the opportunity to meet Sagan and Štybar during jersey signing sessions. The day also features a Škoda test-drive zone showcasing the new Superb Wagon, with a three-month car usage prize available to one participant.
A major new addition for 2026 is the Škoda Tour de France Legends Challenge, where participants can compete against Sagan and Štybar on static bikes. The top performer will win a three-day VIP Škoda Tour de France experience, including travel, accommodation, a ride with the legends and a helicopter fly-over of the peloton.
Sunday marks the main race day, with riders choosing between two professionally timed, closed-road routes — the 112-kilometre Epic Race and the 67-kilometre Classic Race. Both courses feature King of the Mountain and sprint segments, with riders competing for the iconic Tour de France jerseys, including the Yellow Jersey, Green Jersey by Škoda and the Polka Dot Jersey. Male and female winners of the Epic Race will also secure the VIP Škoda Tour de France experience.
Beyond the racing, the Race Village and Fun Zone will offer food, entertainment and interactive experiences, while pre-event social rides across the UAE have been organised to build momentum ahead of race weekend.
With its blend of elite competition, family-friendly activities and unique access to cycling legends, L’Étape Dubai 2026 promises to be one of the city’s standout sporting events of the season.
