Ajman, UAE: Mark & Save, one of the GCC’s fastest-growing value retail chains, has strengthened its regional presence with the opening of its 22nd hyperstore in the Gulf and ninth in the UAE, marking a significant milestone in its rapid expansion strategy.
The newly inaugurated hyperstore, located in the Al Tallah area of Ajman, spans more than 100,000 square feet and is designed as a multi-level retail destination focused on customer comfort and convenience. The store offers a broad product mix, including fresh food, groceries, household essentials, electronics, hot food, bakery items, fashion and other daily needs, positioning itself as a one-stop shopping hub.
The launch forms part of the company’s aggressive growth plan, which includes the opening of seven additional hyperstores across the GCC within the next six months.
Debangshu Adhikari, Senior Vice President of Mark & Save, said the brand’s growth reflects rising consumer trust in its value-driven model. “Mark & Save continues to expand its footprint across the UAE and GCC by combining value-driven pricing with an unmatched customer experience,” he said, noting that the company aims to provide high-quality products at affordable prices to increase customer savings.
He added that the retailer’s strength lies in listening closely to customers and reshaping its offerings accordingly. “Our business model shows that high-quality products can be affordable,” he said.
Mohammed Fasil, Head of Operations at Mark & Save, described the opening of 22 stores in just three years as a major achievement in a highly competitive retail environment. He credited strong teamwork, leadership, and meticulous planning for the company’s growth momentum. He also confirmed that the retailer has diversified its sourcing network, importing products from countries including Poland, Turkey, Norway, the UK, Spain, China, Bangladesh and Thailand.
Founded as a concept in 2022, Mark & Save has grown rapidly across the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The retailer now employs more than 5,000 people and offers over 200,000 product varieties under one roof. It operates under Western International Group, a major retail network in the GCC.
Looking ahead, the company has outlined an ambitious global vision, with a long-term plan to open 500 stores worldwide, including markets in India, Southeast Asia, North America and Europe.
