Paris: Club Med has appointed Charlotte Bernin as head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, marking a key step in the group’s efforts to accelerate growth under its premium upscale strategy.
Bernin, who has been with Club Med since 2009, will be responsible for executing the company’s new strategic plan, Forever Young, translating it into concrete performance, efficiency and expansion initiatives across the EMEA region. The strategy supports Club Med’s ambition to double its footprint in these markets.
Since 2024, Bernin has served as Director of the France and Northern Europe Markets, where she oversaw strong commercial momentum and played a central role in transforming the group’s omnichannel and commercial models. Her appointment underscores Club Med’s stated commitment to developing leadership from within its organization.
She succeeds Anne Browaeys, who is stepping down after ten years with the company to pursue a new professional chapter. During her tenure, Browaeys was instrumental in Club Med’s transformation, strengthening operational efficiency, performance and its leadership position across European markets.
As part of her new role, Bernin joins Club Med’s Executive Committee and will report directly to Stéphane Maquaire, President and Chief Executive Officer of Club Med.
Announcing the appointment, Maquaire said Bernin’s extensive experience across key functions has given her a deep understanding of both the company and its markets, positioning her well to support Club Med’s growth ambitions and strategic rollout.
He also paid tribute to Browaeys, crediting her expertise and long-term commitment with reinforcing Club Med’s organizational structure and long-term competitiveness in Europe.
