Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi is set to reclaim the international spotlight this February as the Longines League of Nations™ and The Emirates Jumping Cup return for the third consecutive year, running from 11–15 February at their new venue, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
The five-day CSIO5* event, boasting a total prize fund exceeding €1.3 million, marks the opening leg of the 2026 Longines League of Nations™ season, bringing together the world’s leading show jumping nations for the first of four qualifying rounds ahead of October’s final in Barcelona.
Eleven elite teams — Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA, and hosts UAE — will compete in Friday evening’s flagship team competition over a challenging 160cm course, offering a class prize fund of €700,000, the largest of its kind in the UAE.
The UAE team will field the same quartet that secured an impressive second-place finish in 2025: Abdullah Mohd Al Marri, Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi, Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi and Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi. Olympic finalist Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi said the team is eager to build on last year’s success and compete once again on home soil.
The event will also welcome some of the sport’s most accomplished athletes, including Simon Delestre, Daniel Deusser and Sophie Hinners, all ranked within the top 25 of the Longines World Rankings. Ireland’s Trevor Breen, who played a pivotal role in his nation’s gold-medal victory in 2025 following a remarkable comeback from injury, is set to return in defence of the title.
Beyond the team competition, the programme features five additional CSIO5* classes, CSI2* events, and Children and Junior competitions, culminating in Sunday’s Emirates Jumping Cup presented by Longines.
Spectators can also expect a vibrant off-arena experience, with entertainment from Z7 Show Horses, a reimagined Team Parade debuting on Friday evening, and a lively shopping and dining destination at The Arcades, showcasing boutique retail and local café concepts.
Supported by partners including Al Shira’aa, Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Equitrans Logistics and Cavalor, the event reinforces Abu Dhabi’s growing status as a global hub for elite equestrian sport.
With record prize money, world-class competition and a dynamic lifestyle offering, the 2026 edition promises to be a standout fixture on the UAE’s sporting calendar.
