Dubai, UAE: Celebrated composer Sajid Khan has officially unveiled WASAKA, a bold new creative and live-entertainment venture, marking a transformative chapter for the iconic Sajid–Wajid legacy. The announcement was made during a specially convened press conference attended by media, industry leaders, and prominent figures from the entertainment fraternity.
Positioned as a global artistic movement, WASAKA aims to redefine musical storytelling by blending heritage with innovation while building creative bridges between Bollywood and the Middle East. Sajid Khan described the platform as a long-cherished dream—one envisioned together with his late brother Wajid Ali Khan—to take their musical philosophy to audiences worldwide through immersive and contemporary live experiences.
WASAKA makes its dynamic debut with a high-impact musical release featuring the Original Sabri Brothers—Shabab Sabri and Danish Sabri—alongside Indian Idol winner Salman Ali. The collaboration fuses the spiritual intensity of Sufi–Qawwali with modern musical sensibilities, reflecting the emotional depth and sonic evolution that defined the Sajid–Wajid sound.

Beyond recorded music, WASAKA is set to redefine the live concert experience with a never-seen-before format. The venture will present reimagined versions of iconic Sajid–Wajid hits, refreshed classics with innovative soundscapes, large-scale immersive concerts, and a new performance language rooted in the duo’s signature style. A key focus will also be nurturing emerging talent, particularly from the Middle East, fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange on a global stage.
Speaking at the launch, Sajid Khan said WASAKA is both a tribute and a promise—ensuring that Wajid’s music continues to evolve rather than fade. Echoing the sentiment, Shabab Sabri and Danish Sabri highlighted the shared values of emotional honesty and spiritual depth that unite the Sabri and Sajid–Wajid legacies, while Salman Ali called the debut project a personal milestone and a deeply moving musical experience.

With WASAKA, the Sajid–Wajid khandan steps confidently into a new era—one that honours its timeless roots while expanding its reach across borders, cultures, and generations.
