Dubai, UAE: As part of the ‘Day Without Accidents’ campaign and in preparation for the new academic year, the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police organized a series of informative lectures which provided valuable insights to approximately 217 drivers from Emirates Transport services who play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students during their school transportation.
These lectures aim to educate and promote compliance with security and safety standards, foster respect for traffic rules and regulations, encourage adherence to traffic safety systems and emphasize the importance of safeguarding the lives of all road users, with a particular emphasis on school students.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, underlined the ongoing commitment of Dubai Police to enhancing and expanding traffic awareness programs through modern and effective approaches to familiarize road users with traffic safety laws and educate them about traffic rules and regulations. “The ultimate goal is to raise awareness, improve the driving skills of motorists, and ensure the safety and security of lives and property,” he added.
Brig. Al Mazroui urged parents to prioritize compliance with traffic laws and regulations, including adhering to traffic signs, following the instructions of traffic policemen, and exercising caution and vigilance. He emphasized the significance of wearing seat belts, displaying patience, staying within designated lanes, utilizing parking spaces without hindering others, and avoiding parking in unauthorized areas.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of observing the guidance signs placed in front of schools, which promote reducing speed, increasing alertness, exercising caution, and anticipating the actions of others.
