Dubai, UAE – As Ramadan evenings settle over Dubai, the city’s pace softens, giving way to moments of reflection, connection and shared experience. Across neighbourhoods, families and friends gather after sunset, embracing traditions that define the Holy Month.
This year, Shamal Holding is bringing that familiar spirit to life through a series of cultural activations at The Square at Nad Al Sheba Gardens and Kite Beach Dubai. The experiences reflect the essence of Wulfa — a season rooted in reflection, relationships and gratitude that resonates deeply across the UAE during Ramadan.
The Square at Nad Al Sheba Gardens: Culture, Craft and Community
At The Square, Ramadan unfolds as an intimate celebration of heritage, creativity and storytelling. Designed as a welcoming space for connection, the venue blends cultural programming with retail and entertainment experiences throughout the month.
A highlight of the calendar is MNBAIN, running from 18 February to 1 March and returning from 25 to 29 March. Known for its contemporary take on regional design, MNBAIN presents a curated retail concept featuring modern abayas, signature oud fragrances and artisanal pieces that reflect local identity through a refined lens.

From 2 to 8 March, luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre will host a dedicated Majlis themed “Bridge in Time.” The installation combines photography of Arab architectural heritage with AI-inspired reinterpretations, creating a thoughtful dialogue between past and future. Traditional majlis elements and contemporary design details come together to form an inviting space for post-iftar conversations.
Families will also find space for quieter moments. On 6, 7, 13, 14 and 15 March at 8pm, UAE-based authors will lead bilingual storytelling sessions for children. Through tales of adventure, kindness and imagination, the evenings offer young audiences a chance to unwind and engage with seasonal narratives.
Adding to the ambience, a three-piece traditional band will perform live on select nights — 6, 7, 13 and 14 March from 7:15pm to 10:30pm. Featuring the oud, qanun and riq, the performances are set to create a warm musical backdrop for visitors gathering after iftar.
Complementing the programme, several culinary and retail collaborations will introduce Ramadan-exclusive touches, including limited-edition beverage cups by Klay and a seasonal creation by Omar Odali.

Kite Beach Dubai: Ramadan Nights by the Shore
Along the coastline, Kite Beach takes on a different character once the sun dips below the horizon. Soft lighting, live performances and interactive installations transform the beachfront into a relaxed evening destination for families.
At the heart of the experience is the Ramadan Majlis, where layered carpets, low seating and cushions create comfortable pockets for visitors to pause, reconnect and enjoy the surroundings. Live traditional musicians perform throughout the evenings, enhancing the atmosphere with gentle rhythms.
Programming across five weeks includes rotating solo, duo and trio performances scheduled on select February and March dates, offering a blend of traditional and contemporary sounds.
Interactive cultural elements add to the experience. Calligraphy artist Liyakath Ali will create personalised Arabic name artworks each night, allowing guests to take home lantern-shaped acrylic keepsakes inscribed with names or meaningful words. Up to 150 pieces will be produced nightly.
Henna artist Aziya will also be present, offering complimentary designs ranging from traditional patterns to white and glitter styles, appealing to both children and adults.
Before departing, visitors are encouraged to contribute to the Wishes Wall, where handwritten messages of gratitude, hope and blessings gradually form a collective display reflecting the values of Ramadan.
