Dubai: In January, high above Jumeirah, a restaurant overlooking the Dubai skyline stepped into a role once reserved for galleries. IKKA became the only restaurant in Dubai with a permanent in-house art gallery, debuting new contemporary art in the UAE before it reaches the gallery circuit. This March, IKKA will join hands with Sellah Global Event to showcase a contemporary art exhibition featuring the TeryMari Gallery and its distinguished artists.
From 4 March to 3 April 2026, ONENESS marks the next chapter in IKKA’s permanent, rotating in-house gallery programme, an initiative that has already introduced two exhibitions earlier this year and continues to position the restaurant as a point of first encounter for new contemporary art entering the UAE. As the only restaurant in Dubai to operate a monthly rotating in-house gallery fully integrated into the dining experience, IKKA challenges the traditional sequence of the art world by presenting works here before they move into the wider gallery circuit. This approach reflects IKKA’s broader philosophy, where art unfolds alongside dining through time, presence and shared experience, an ethos shaped by Chef José Luis’s artistic background and woven into the identity of the space, creating an atmosphere that feels social, immersive and distinctly its own.

ONENESS
The exhibition will showcase works by guest artist Susan Villanueva-de Guzman and resident artist Marc Salamat, under the curatorial direction of Sellah Global Events.
At its core, ONENESS explores the connection between cultures, people, and the inner self reflecting Dubai’s identity as a meeting place of nations and stories.
The entries:
‘7 Yet One’ reflects unity within diversity, inspired by the spirit of the United Arab Emirates. Distinct visual elements stand side by side while forming a single composition, symbolizing how different cultures and identities can coexist while belonging to one community and one shared future.
‘Panels of Hope’ – turns inward, exploring healing and renewal. Through the imagery of openings and light, the work invites viewers to remain open despite difficult seasons, reminding us that hope often enters when the heart allows light back in.
In ‘Know Thyself’, the artist reflects on humility, gratitude, and self-awareness, presenting inner understanding as the beginning of transformation and connection with others.

Finally, ‘Infinite Love’ expresses union beyond the self. Two figures meet in a timeless embrace, symbolizing harmony, spirit and matter, heaven and earth portraying love as a universal force that connects all humanity.
Together, the works form a quiet progression: awareness, healing, and ultimately unity.
The Curatorial Vision
Curated and organized by Sellah Global Events, the exhibition positions art not merely as visual display but as encounter, a time for reflection, conversation and human connection. Through the works of both artists, ONENESS moves from inner awareness (Know Thyself), to shared resilience (Panels of Hope), and finally to unity (Infinite Love). The exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and rediscover belonging in a fast-moving world.
