Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Masaood Group, a prominent Abu Dhabi business conglomerate, has marked Emirati Women’s Day with a series of exclusive sustainability workshops. Aligned with the theme “We Collaborate for Tomorrow,” these workshops, hosted in collaboration with Emirates Nature – World Wildlife Fund (WWF), aimed to empower Emirati women in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Emirates Nature in Association with WWF, a non-profit environmental charity founded in 2001 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, played a pivotal role in conducting these workshops.

Bothaina Al Ali, Group Head of HR at Al Masaood Group, expressed their pleasure at hosting these engaging workshops, emphasizing the significance of empowering women with the knowledge and tools needed to promote sustainability. The goal is to ignite positive change and create a brighter future for both the community and the environment.

One of the workshops, titled “Measure Your Eco-Footprint,” delved into the concept of Circular Economies and their impact on the world. Participants actively discussed resource conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable alternatives through group collaborations and brainstorming sessions.

The second workshop, “Caught on Camera,” provided an opportunity to explore UAE wildlife through motion-sensing camera traps. Participants contributed by identifying diverse wildlife captured in footage, enhancing their understanding of the country’s eco-diversity.

These workshops underscore Al Masaood’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation, providing participants with knowledge, hands-on experiences, and the chance to champion a greener and more sustainable future.
