Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – LuLu Hypermarket, the Kingdom’s leading retail chain, joined forces with Ismail Abu Dawood and Procter & Gamble Limited, renowned manufacturers of products like Pampers, Tide, Ariel, and Herbal Essences, to celebrate the 93rd Saudi National Day in grand style. The collaboration with Ariel Saudi Arabia resulted in a spectacular display: a massive number “93” constructed using a staggering 16,494 Ariel detergent packs. This incredible feat earned them the coveted Guinness World Records title for the “Largest Packaged Product Number.”

The awe-inspiring event unfolded at Riyadh’s Alawwal Park Stadium on September 19, with the presence of popular Saudi actor Yousef Al-Jarrah. Guinness World Records officials were on-site to authenticate and certify the remarkable achievement. The LuLu and Ariel teams had meticulously planned the logistics and design to bring this formation to life.

In recognition of LuLu’s contribution to Saudi Arabia’s progress, the retail giant has partnered with Albir Charity to donate 6,000 packs from the display to families in need, aligning with their commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Additionally, over 10,000 fortunate customers shopping at LuLu stores in Riyadh on National Day received these packs for free on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Shehim Mohammed, LuLu Saudi director, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to pursue a Guinness World Records title dedicated to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebration of the 93rd Saudi National Day. This achievement symbolizes the Kingdom’s progress and LuLu’s integral role in it. Ariel, the top detergent brand produced by our partner P&G, is proudly manufactured in Saudi Arabia, mirroring the country’s industrial and business development. Our charitable and ESG efforts are seamlessly integrated into this event, allowing us to support families in need and our valued customers.”

Fahad Al-Nashwan, assistant secretary-general at Albir Charity, applauded the project, emphasizing the significance of charity on the joyous occasion of Saudi National Day.

Celebrity guest Al-Jarrah added, “I am very pleased to be here on this special day to celebrate the 93rd National Day and to participate with my brothers at LuLu Hypermarket and Ariel in achieving the world’s largest number, and I congratulate them on receiving the Guinness certificate.”

On September 19, the display was inaugurated in the presence of LuLu’s top management, led by Mohammed, director of LuLu Saudi, and the P&G team, led by bin Moammar. This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and charity in Saudi Arabia.
