Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Higher Organising Committee for UMEX and SimTEX 2024, led by Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, held its inaugural meeting. These exhibitions, focused on unmanned systems, simulation, training, and robotics, will take place from January 22-25, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The committee discussed preparations for the largest edition of the events in their history. Organized by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defense, UMEX and SimTEX 2024 aim to provide a vital platform for stakeholders in the unmanned systems, simulation, training, and robotics sectors, amidst growing regional and global demand for these technologies.
Major General Dr. Al Jabri emphasized the significance of these exhibitions, showcasing advanced technologies that support stability, national security, and sustainable development, while also bolstering the UAE’s international standing. Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted the commitment to supporting economic growth and diversification in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The meetings’ discussions also centered around strategies to maintain the events’ regional and international prominence, exhibitor lists, and plans to facilitate the participation of official delegations and global senior officials. UMEX and SimTEX have played a pivotal role in enhancing GDP growth and national capabilities in cutting-edge technologies, promoting partnerships and knowledge transfer, and showcasing innovation in key sectors.
