Dubai Police Hosts Workshop for Forensic and Punitive Sectors

Dubai, UAE – Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, inaugurated a workshop aimed at generating innovative ideas and recommendations to support the “Strategic Plan Update for Dubai Police 2024-2033.” The event, attended by high-ranking officials including Brigadier Sheikh Mohammad Abdulla Al Mualla and Brigadier Marwan Julfar, brought together officers from the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology and the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishment.

Bin Ghalita highlighted the workshop’s pivotal role in discussing ideas and visions to enhance work mechanisms, aligning with technological advancements and digitization. The “Strategic Focus Group Workshop” focuses on brainstorming ideas and innovative solutions to address fundamental challenges in policing work, ultimately realizing Dubai Police’s vision of excellence and leadership at both local and global levels.

During the workshop, participants were briefed on the purpose and tools employed for generating future ideas, aiming to contribute actionable recommendations to the strategic plan. The initiative underscores Dubai Police’s commitment to staying ahead of evolving trends and delivering optimal services to the community.
