Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, extended a warm welcome to Mami Mizutori, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction, and her delegation at the Dubai Police General Headquarters. Lt. Gen. Al Marri underscored Dubai Police’s dedication to effective communication and knowledge exchange in various specialized fields. Emphasizing adaptability and resilience in the face of climate change challenges, he highlighted the integration of cutting-edge technology in infrastructure and essential services.

Ms. Mizutori expressed the UNDRR’s eagerness to collaborate with diverse UAE government entities, emphasizing strong partnerships aligned with mutual interests. The delegation visited the Command and Control Centre, where they were briefed on the latest security and safety initiatives, including the 3D map covering Dubai and the patrols dispatching system. The Efaad platform, focusing on equipping students with essential skills and providing scholarship services, was also introduced. Efaad has become a model for both government and private entities, fostering collaboration with educational institutions and meeting Dubai Police’s academic and training objectives.
