Dubai Police returns AED 76,000 to Tourist in 30 Minutes

Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police’s swift response and efficient handling of a lost money report during New Year’s Eve celebrations resulted in the recovery and return of AED 76,000 (approximately $17,000 and AED 14,000) to an Arab tourist. The tourist reported the loss through the Dubai Police Tourist Service on the Dubai Police app, stating that he had left the money pouch in a taxi while returning to his residence.

Received at 2:00 AM, the report prompted immediate action from the tourist police team. Within half an hour, they successfully traced the taxi to the tourist’s hotel and contacted the driver to return the money pouch. The comprehensive measures undertaken by the diligent team showcased their commitment to community satisfaction during festive occasions.

Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, reiterated Dubai Police’s dedication to swiftly respond and handle incidents, ensuring the security and well-being of community members. He praised the professionalism of the team and commended the taxi driver for his honesty in facilitating the swift recovery of the lost money.

The Arab tourist, expressing joy and gratitude, lauded Dubai Police for their prompt and effective response, emphasizing their commitment to providing a sense of security and safety in Dubai.
