King’s College Hospital London, the sole licensed facility for liver transplantation by the Dubai Healthcare Authority (DHA), led a team with extensive experience in liver transplants, having performed over 1500 such procedures. The patient’s condition, characterized by jaundice and liver failure, necessitated the four-hour surgery, led by Dr. Kaiser Raja, Dr. Parthiban Srinivasan, and Dr. Rakesh Rai.
Dr. Kaiser Raja highlighted the silent progression of liver cirrhosis, emphasizing the importance of early recognition and prevention.
