Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police has revealed that its “Police Eye” service, which allows the public to report criminal and traffic-related incidents, has received 108,100 pieces of information from the community in the past five years.
The service, which is available on the Dubai Police app in six languages, has seen a consistent increase in the number of users, reflecting the community’s active role in promoting safety, security, and legal compliance.
The announcement was made during a press conference at Al Barsha Police Station, attended by several senior officers from the Dubai Police General Command.
Major General Mohammed Nasser Al Razzouqi, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, praised the public’s cooperation and trust in the police force, and urged them to continue using the “Police Eye” service to report any negative phenomena or illegal activities.
He said that the service plays a significant role in Dubai Police’s efforts to enhance public safety and community well-being, and that the police are keen to respond to the reports promptly and effectively.
He also highlighted some of the achievements of the service, such as helping to arrest drug dealers, human traffickers, and wanted criminals, as well as preventing accidents and violations on the roads.
According to the statistics, the service received 61,287 criminal reports and 46,813 traffic-related reports in the past five years, with the highest number of reports in the last year (41,399).
The service also received reports on various issues, such as gambling, drugs, alcohol, vandalism, noise, and environmental violations.
“Police Eye” is a platform that empowers community members to contribute to preserving security and reporting illegal activities. The service is part of the Dubai Police app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
