Dubai, UAE – The Desert Vipers cricket team is making strides in championing sustainability and addressing climate change concerns through a groundbreaking partnership with Bluewater. The franchise, participating in the UAE’s DP World ILT20 league, has bid farewell to plastic water bottles, opting for a more environmentally friendly solution.

Bluewater, the Official Hydration Partner and Sustainability Impact Partner of the Desert Vipers, has replaced traditional plastic bottles with state-of-the-art water filtration units at all three tournament venues – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. These units feature warming stripes illustrating the global temperature rise since 1850, sparking essential conversations about climate change among cricket fans worldwide.

Players and staff have also been equipped with reusable stainless-steel bottles for water consumption, further aligning with the team’s commitment to sustainability. Desert Vipers CEO Phil Oliver emphasized the franchise’s dedication to environmental causes, expressing gratitude to DP World ILT20 for supporting their innovative initiative.

In addition to their environmental efforts, the Vipers have partnered with Bat For A Chance and The Plastic Pledge to ensure the responsible distribution of unused kit and equipment and address the issue of plastic pollution, showcasing their commitment to a sustainable future.
