Dubai, UAE – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi urged Emirati businesspersons to invest in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy, such as agriculture, information technology and energy, at a conference held in Dubai on Monday.

The “Business Opportunities Conference Dubai” was attended by over 100 Pakistani and Emirati entrepreneurs and experts, who discussed the potential areas for bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.

Tirmizi said that Pakistan, with a population of 241 million and a young demographic, offers immense opportunities for investment in diverse fields. He also highlighted the “exemplary relationship” and the significant contribution of the Pakistani diaspora to the UAE’s development.

Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, the assistant undersecretary for intellectual property rights sector at the UAE’s Ministry of Economy, welcomed the Pakistani delegates and expressed hope for positive outcomes from the ongoing interactions between the business communities of both countries.

Pakistan and the UAE are close allies, with the Gulf nation being Pakistan’s third-largest trade partner after China and the US. The two countries have also signed several agreements worth over $3 billion for cooperation in railways, economic zones and infrastructure. The UAE is home to an estimated 1.8 million Pakistani expatriates and the second-largest source of remittances for Pakistan.
