Dubai, UAE – In a strategic move set to transform the railway sector in the UAE and the region, Keolis MHI, a prominent transportation service provider, has forged a partnership with the University of Birmingham Dubai. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), endorsed by Wallace Weatherill, Managing Director of Keolis MHI, and Professor Yusra Mouzughi, Provost of the University of Birmingham in Dubai, marks a significant step towards nurturing innovation in rail technology.

The signing event on March 4th, 2024, initiated a collaborative effort that promises to provide University of Birmingham students with internships and employment opportunities at Keolis MHI. The MOU outlines the formation of working groups to devise strategic plans and investigate potential collaborative research projects. This initiative is expected to offer students profound industry knowledge and pave the way for their future professional endeavors.

Wallace Weatherill expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This alliance with the University of Birmingham, a globally recognized institution for academic excellence and innovation, allows us to access a wealth of talent and develop the rail sector’s future leaders.
