Discovery, unveils a groundbreaking documentary film, “Beneath the Surface: The Fight for Corals,” slated to debut on Earth Day, 22 April 2024, on Discovery Channel networks worldwide. This collaborative endeavor aims to illuminate the critical efforts of Red Sea Global in combating the detrimental effects of climate change on coral reefs, while showcasing the innovative conservation initiatives undertaken in the Red Sea region.
John Pagano, Group CEO at Red Sea Global, underscores the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship and regeneration, stating, “At Red Sea Global, we are inspired by nature and led by science.” Pagano emphasizes the significance of global collaboration in preserving oceanic ecosystems, highlighting the pivotal role of Saudi Arabian free diver Salma Shaker and the groundbreaking coral research conducted by scientists at Red Sea Global and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
