AEMOB Forum Unveils its Program and International Speakers Lineup

Doha, Qatar – The Autonomous e-Mobility (AEMOB) Forum, under the esteemed patronage of Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, promises to be a groundbreaking event shaping the future of sustainable transportation. In a press conference held at the Ministry of Transport (MOT) on April 22, the final program and speakers lineup were unveiled, heralding an assembly of global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.

With over 20 prominent sponsors and partners, including stalwarts like Mowasalat Company (Karwa), Qatar Railways Company (Rail), and Microsoft Corporation, the forum boasts a robust support network. The lineup also includes Al Jaidah Group, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Al Abdul Ghani Motors, QTerminals, Uber, and DHL among others, representing a collective commitment from public and private sectors toward advancing sustainable mobility solutions.

Gathering more than 40 speakers from 20 countries, the forum serves as a melting pot of ideas and experiences in the realm of electric transportation and self-driving mobility. From policymakers to academics, industry leaders to engineers, the event offers a unique platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange. Keynote speeches, presentations, and panel discussions will be complemented by an exhibition showcasing innovations from international and regional companies, fostering collaborative efforts toward sustainable mobility ecosystems.

Eng. Hamad Essa Abdulla, MOT’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Land Transport Affairs, emphasized the pivotal role of autonomous e-vehicles in addressing global sustainability challenges. Qatar’s progressive stance in transitioning to electric vehicles, with over 70% of the public bus fleet already electric, underscores its commitment to environmental stewardship.

Ahmad Hassan Al Obaidly, CEO of Mowasalat (Karwa), expressed pride in their role as the official transport partner, reaffirming their dedication to advancing electric and sustainable mobility solutions. Qatar Rail, represented by Abdulla Ali Al-Mawlawi, highlighted its contributions to sustainable transportation through initiatives like the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks.

The forum, organized by Just us & Otto Company, marks a significant milestone in fostering collaboration and innovation in the realm of autonomous e-mobility. Ahmad Al Ansari, Executive Committee member of the AEMOB Forum, expressed anticipation for the inaugural event, emphasizing its role in shaping real-world applications of driverless e-mobility.
