Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police recently held a graduation ceremony for the Assault and Raid Advanced Course, organized by the Department of VIP Protection and Security at Rashid Port- Terminal 3. The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
In his address, Lt. Gen. Al Marri emphasized the Dubai Police’s commitment to prioritizing specialized teams and organizing courses to ensure their scientific, physical, and psychological readiness for potential emergencies.
Colonel Issa Hamza, Director of the Department of VIP Protection and Security, explained that 33 individuals from various specialized departments within the Dubai Police underwent rigorous training in raiding and storming techniques, dealing with emerging threats, including intruder boats carrying prohibited items, landing using special equipment provided by the General Department of Transport and Rescue, shooting skills, helicopter operations, penetration tactics and methods, as well as tactical planning.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commandants, Directors of General Departments and police Stations, senior officers, trainers, and course participants.
After the graduation ceremony, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Al Marri took commemorative photos with the graduates, acknowledging their dedication and hard work in completing the advanced course.
The Assault and Raid Advanced Course is a vital part of the Dubai Police’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of its specialized teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle complex and demanding situations, ultimately contributing to the overall safety and security of the emirate.
