Dubai Police Explores “Future of Security and Society” in Dialogue Session

Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Police’s General Department of Organization Protective Security and Emergencies (OPSE) held a dialogue session titled “Future of Security and Society: Visions and Challenges.” The event aimed to highlight security personnel’s challenges and the importance of technology in enhancing safety.

Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of OPSE, emphasised the significance of such platforms for fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between security agencies, academia, and experts. 

The event featured diverse participants, including officers from Dubai Police and other security sectors, as well as specialists in security studies, strategic analysis, and information management. 

Discussions revolved around security methods, the impact of artificial intelligence, the importance of continuous training and planning, and the utilisation of technology for prediction and prevention.

A parallel session on “Entrepreneurship in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” led by entrepreneur Khalifa Awad Al Muhairi shed light on the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship in the security sector. The session explored how AI-powered tools and approaches can be leveraged to enhance security measures and drive innovation.

Speakers, including Professor Dusko Tomic and Dr Aldar Saljak from the American University in the Emirates and Consultant Dr Reem Obaidat from the Hemaya International Centre at Dubai Police, shared their expertise and insights during the event.

The dialogue session concluded with Brigadier Al Ketbi recognising the contributions of the speakers and the organising team, highlighting the importance of continuous dialogue and collaboration in shaping the future of security and society.
