Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Police’s Command and Control Centre efficiently managed over 2.1 million calls during the second quarter of 2024, with an impressive 97% of these calls being handled within 10 seconds. These remarkable statistics were disclosed during the Operations Department performance appraisal meeting.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, the Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs. He was joined by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs, Brigadier Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Acting Director of the General Department of Operations, and several senior officers.
Key topics discussed included a review of the implementation of previous recommendations, decisions, and a performance benchmarking analysis comparing the second quarter of 2024 to the same period last year.
In his address, Major General Al Mansouri highlighted the strategic indicators for the General Department of Operations and emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation across all police sectors. He stressed that this collaborative approach is essential for achieving Dubai Police’s strategic goals and meeting global standards of excellence and leadership in policing.
Concluding the meeting, Major General Al Mansouri urged staff members to fulfill their job requirements promptly and accurately. He called for continuous improvement in business quality and performance, aiming to elevate work standards to the highest levels. Additionally, he appealed to the public to be mindful of the calls they make, understanding the distinction between the non-emergency number 901 and the emergency hotline 999.
