Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Police’s Tourist Police Department has taken a significant step towards strengthening international cooperation in tourist policing by visiting the Tourist Police Department in Pattaya, Thailand. The visit aimed to exchange expertise and strategies to enhance safety and security in tourist areas.
Led by Captain Ahmad Al Fajir, Deputy Director of the Tourist Police Department, the Dubai delegation received an in-depth briefing on the duties, community initiatives, and experiences of the Pattaya Tourist Police. The discussions focused on effective crime prevention measures and methods to ensure a secure environment for tourists.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Bali Hai Pier, where they were introduced to the joint operations room and emergency response mechanisms. They also learned about various awareness campaigns designed to promote marine and tourist safety.
Captain Al Fajir highlighted that the visit to Pattaya aligns with Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise with police agencies worldwide. “By collaborating with international counterparts, especially those dedicated to maintaining a safe tourism environment, we can continually improve our practices and ensure the highest standards of safety for tourists,” he stated.
