Dubai, UAE – Index Exchange has marked a major milestone with its innovative and aggressive campaign, “Iss Baar, Hundi Pe Waar,” aimed at combating illegal remittances. The initiative, launched on Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, has received widespread acclaim for its impact at the grassroots level, especially among the Pakistani expatriate community.

The campaign’s success was celebrated during a grand event attended by key figures, including Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE. Ambassador Tirmizi praised Index Exchange for being the first to launch such a robust initiative against illegal remittance channels like Hundi and Hawala, which pose significant threats to Pakistan’s economy. In his address, he highlighted the often-overlooked detrimental effects of these illegal practices and stressed the importance of legal remittances.

“We salute our blue-collar expatriates who are indeed the ‘unsung heroes’ for using legal channels to send money back home. Campaigns like ‘Iss Baar, Hundi Pe Waar’ launched by Index Exchange are crucial in raising awareness, and we, as the Pakistani mission in the UAE, fully support these efforts,” stated Ambassador Tirmizi.
