Dubai, UAE – VFS Global’s Tourism Services Unit, in collaboration with Visit Qatar, has launched the second edition of the ‘Qatar Incentive Programme’ for 2024, aimed exclusively at travel agents and tour operators in the UAE. This initiative underscores the importance of the UAE market for Qatar and seeks to bolster Qatar’s tourism sector.

Qatar is positioned as a premier, family-friendly tourist destination, offering a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation through various attractions and year-round events. Visit Qatar’s current summer campaign, ‘Your Summer Starts Here,’ showcases a wide range of touristic experiences, from pristine beaches and natural wonders to indoor entertainment options such as shopping, gastronomy, and theme parks.

The incentive program rewards UAE-based travel agents for each package sold that includes a minimum three-night stay in Qatar. The sales period for this edition runs from August to December 2024, providing travel agents with a lucrative opportunity to arrange holiday plans for their clients in one of the Middle East’s most captivating destinations.

Fadi Mouaqat, Senior Manager for International Markets – Middle East & Africa at Visit Qatar, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting that visitors from the GCC accounted for 43% of all international arrivals to Qatar in the first half of 2024, with over 75,000 travelers from the UAE. Mouaqat anticipates that the incentive program will further encourage UAE travelers to explore Qatar, especially with a robust lineup of events in the latter half of the year, including the highly anticipated Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024.

GB Srithar, Head of Tourism Services at VFS Global, echoed this sentiment, noting the success of the program’s first edition and expressing excitement about its return. Srithar emphasized VFS Global’s commitment to equipping travel agents with destination training and promotional tools to drive increased tourism to Qatar.

To participate in the program, travel partners must actively promote Qatar Holiday Packages, sell packages that include at least a three-night stay, and ensure all packages have valid hotel reservations and flight bookings within the specified travel period.
