South Africa – JETOUR Auto has officially announced a strategic partnership with the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) to help protect endangered cheetahs in Africa. With less than 7,500 cheetahs remaining in the wild due to habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and illegal wildlife trade, this collaboration aims to make a significant impact on global conservation efforts.
Founded in Namibia in 1990, CCF is led by Dr. Laurie Marker and is a world leader in cheetah research and conservation. The partnership will see JETOUR sponsoring the annual care of two orphaned or non-releasable cheetahs and donating vehicles to assist in habitat improvement. The car manufacturer will also collaborate with Discovery Channel to produce a documentary on cheetah conservation, raising global awareness and encouraging public involvement in the “Protect the Cheetah” initiative.
At the launch event, Dr. Laurie Marker expressed her gratitude, highlighting the importance of long-term partnerships in wildlife conservation. “Cheetah conservation requires long-term commitment, and JETOUR is a perfect partner for this journey,” said Dr. Marker. “We are excited to deepen our cooperation and inspire more people to join the cause.”
JETOUR Vice President Ke Chuandeng echoed these sentiments, stating, “We are honored to be part of this mission. We recognize the challenges wildlife conservation faces, and we hope to bring global attention to the plight of cheetahs.”
This partnership marks JETOUR’s first wildlife conservation initiative, further integrating environmental and social responsibility into its global development strategy. Known for its “Travel+” concept, which focuses on regional economic development and preserving natural environments, JETOUR has actively engaged in various ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts around the world.
JETOUR’s collaboration with CCF is a significant step in expanding its “Travel+” strategy, showcasing how businesses can contribute to sustainable development while fostering global conservation efforts.
In the coming years, JETOUR aims to continue supporting various charitable and conservation activities, promoting its belief in “Travel as ESG Practices,” and encouraging others to explore the world while giving back to the planet.
