Great Success & Distinctive Participation in the Mountain Bike Race

Dubai, UAE – The Mountain Bike Race, organized by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) in collaboration with Dubai Municipality, concluded successfully for the second consecutive year at the Mushrif Park in Al-Khawaneej. The event saw remarkable participation from men and women of diverse ages and nationalities, competing fiercely to claim victory across multiple race categories.

The event took place on the Mountain Bike Track in Mushrif Park, a course uniquely situated in a forest of 70,000 trees, providing a thrilling backdrop for the competition. Among the notable attendees were H.E. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of DSC, along with H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, Assistant Secretary General of DSC, Mr. Ali Omar Al-Baloushi, Director of Sports Events at DSC, and Mr. Shaib Abdul Jalil Musabbah, Director of Mushrif National Park.

Pro Mountain Bike Race (56 km)

In the 56 km pro mountain bike race, Agait Salaman retained his title in the men’s category, finishing in 2:00:18 hours, followed closely by Ryan Hunt in 2nd place (2:00:19), and Maru Rudolph in 3rd (2:00:39). In the women’s category, Vicky Shaw secured 1st place with a time of 2:27:45 hours, followed by Rachel Delaunay (2:36:15) and Robin James (2:37:43).

Pro Sand Bike Race (56 km)

Ashraf Khudairi, who placed 3rd last year, claimed the top spot in the men’s 56 km pro sand bike race with a time of 2:04:57 hours. Vitor Carvalho came in 2nd (2:05:25), and Almir Mojik, the previous year’s champion, finished 3rd (2:07:38). In the women’s race, Madison Black won with a time of 2:20:47, followed by Rebecca Ellis (2:31:00) and Patty Kinberger (2:32:06).

Amateurs’ Mountain Bike Race (37 km)

The 37 km amateur mountain bike race saw Ronald Verona taking 1st place in the men’s category, finishing in 45:00 minutes. He was followed by Marlon Mindoza in 2nd (45:13) and Florine Daniel Lee in 3rd (48:50). In the women’s category, Andreja Brill won 1st place with a time of 49:57 minutes, with Christina Zabolotko (52:24) and Fiona Paddon (57:06) taking 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

Amateurs’ Sand Bike Race (37 km)

In the 37 km amateur sand bike race, Abel Destacamiento won 1st place in the men’s category with a time of 44:44 minutes, followed by Alfian Hussein (48:33) and Frederick Gou (52:38).

Beginners’ Mountain Bike Race (18 km)

The 18 km beginners’ mountain bike race saw Romaldo Joquin taking 1st place in the men’s category with a time of 1:29:22 hours. Nick Ray secured 2nd place (1:30:37), and Landon Holt came in 3rd (1:32:06). In the women’s category, Sarah Brown claimed victory with a time of 1:41:27 hours, with Ekaterina Suleimanova (1:55:06) and Madeleine Walsh (1:57:56) following in 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

Beginners’ Sand Bike Race (18 km)

Cliff Parsons won the men’s category in the 18 km beginners’ sand bike race with a time of 1:31:18 hours, while Francis Jr. took 2nd (1:37:08) and Christian Henn finished 3rd (1:38:41). In the women’s category, Sunshine Salgado claimed 1st place with a time of 1:54:15 hours.

The Mushrif Park mountain bike track, which spans 50 km, is designed to international standards, offering a mix of thrilling climbs, curves, and jumps, adding excitement to the event. The track is divided into three sections: the blue and green tracks (20 km combined) and the blue track (30 km), ensuring a world-class experience for all competitors.
