Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Warrior Academy, the UAE’s leading martial arts organization, is set to open its first branch in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone after four years of remarkable growth. Known for its unique approach, ‘The Warrior Method,’ the academy focuses on three crucial aspects: Confidence, Conduct, and Concentration, using ancient martial arts to foster character development in children.
With over 1,000 children attending weekly sessions at its Al-Quoz location in Dubai, the award-winning academy boasts a team of world-class professionals, including national, European, and world champions, personal trainers to prominent UAE families, and best-selling authors in character development.
Having positively impacted over 30,000 children across three continents since its inception in the UK in 2011, the Warrior Academy has produced more than 50 national champions. After a year of training, an impressive 82% of children reported increased confidence.
Founded by Sebastian Bates, a serial entrepreneur, extreme sports athlete, and philanthropist, the Warrior Academy draws inspiration from his personal challenges, including a near-fatal parachuting accident in 2014. His mission is to inspire young people to make a difference, with plans to expand to nine GCC cities in the next three years.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the Warrior Academy’s commitment to nurturing children’s development, emphasizing its role in creating well-rounded citizens for the future.
Sebastian Bates, Founder of the Warrior Academy, expressed excitement about the Abu Dhabi branch, highlighting its transformational impact on children’s lives. Taekwondo, a martial art practiced at the academy, plays a pivotal role in character development, promoting confidence, discipline, and physical coordination.
Sebastian’s personal experiences as a former international professional fighter and his desire to combat bullying drive his dedication to helping young people through the Warrior Academy. The new Abu Dhabi center officially opens its doors on May 27, 2023, at Al Wahda Mall, offering a convenient location for children in the capital to access its services.
