Doha: Residents of Qatar can now submit their Hungary visa applications through a newly opened VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Doha. The centre, located at Levels 1, Al Nuaimi Building, Oqba Ibn Nafie Street on Airport Road, was inaugurated by Ms. Boglárka Szvétecz, Consul, and Mr. Ádám Éva, Deputy Head of Mission, from the Hungarian Embassy in Qatar. They were joined by Mr. Avdhut Shelar, Head of Operations at VFS Global.
Under a new global contract, VFS Global will serve Hungary across four major regions—Africas, Australasia, Middle East, and Europe—expanding their visa application services. The new centre in Doha is aimed at enhancing visa services for residents by offering both long and short stay visas for Hungary.
H.E. Ferenc Korom, the Hungarian Ambassador to Qatar, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership with VFS Global. He highlighted that the collaboration will improve visa processing efficiency and ensure a smoother experience for applicants. “We are confident this partnership will meet your needs more effectively,” Ambassador Korom stated, emphasizing the focus on customer service and technological advancements.
Ms. Marita Bachhav, Regional Head – Qatar for VFS Global, echoed these sentiments, saying, “We are excited to commence Hungary visa services here in Doha, bringing the visa application process closer to home for residents.”
Appointments for visa applications can be made online through the VFS Global website, with no additional charge. Applicants also have access to various optional services such as SMS updates, photo and photocopy services, travel insurance, and courier services for passport delivery. For those seeking added comfort, premium services like the Premium Lounge and Visa At Your Doorstep are available.
Since 2010, VFS Global has been a trusted partner of the Hungary Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and this new Doha centre represents the latest step in enhancing visa services for travellers to Hungary.
